A screen is physical divider intended to block an area from view or to block access.  Screens often provide protection or even filtration and may have holes or perforations allowing air or liquid flow.  A screen may also refer to a "touch screen" which provides a graphical user interface (a display device) which allows the user to interact with a computer or control by touching areas on the screen.
