ELBOW CLEAN-OUT DRAIN

Clean-outs are fittings with removable elements, allowing access to drains without having to remove piping, tubing, or plumbing fixtures. They are used to allow an implement (like a brush) to clean out a drain. Clean-outs usually have screw-on caps or screw-in plugs.

A drain is a channel, conduit, or pipe designed to carry away or channel superflous liquids for disposal or reclamation. A drain assembly is one or more components of a larger mechanism that facilitates as a drain. A drain assembly component may be a pipe, stopper, pan, basket, valve, filter, plug, hose etc.

An elbow is installed between two lengths of pipe (or tubing) to allow a change of direction, usually a 90° or 45° angle; 22.5° elbows are also available. The ends may be machined for butt welding, threaded (usually female), or socketed. When the ends differ in size, it is known as a reducing (or reducer) elbow.
